Andreas Mogensen, a Danish astronaut, carried out a short-term mission on the ISS in early September 2015 called “IRISS.” In this case, ALTEC collaborated with the starred chef identified by ESA for the production of bonus food (Thorsten Schmidt) and the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP) in Moscow, which was responsible for approving the food that would fly on board the Soyuz.
The menu included heat-stabilized beef supplied in a special bag (Corned Beef), a vanilla dessert with rhubarb sauce, and a chocolate shaped like a moon rock, which contained a personal message for each astronaut on board, sent by their families.
