APOLLO CAPSULE
The Apollo command module was the launch and reentry vehicle used by United States astronauts during the Apollo program. It accommodated a crew of three astronauts and was launched on top of the Saturn V rocket. While two astronauts descended to the Moon’s surface, the third remained aboard the command module, which orbited the Moon and served as the crew’s return vehicle after the mission. This 1:1 scale model displays the final proportions and interior layout based on an early design of the module.
